When the brake pedal is depressed, the vacuum booster check valve can stick to the valve body, causing in a reduction or loss of vacuum boost resulting in decrease in brake efficiency.

Vehicle description: passsenger vehicles. Some of these vehicles have a poorly manufactured vacuum check valve located in the vacuum hose between the intake manifold and brake vacuum booster.

Dealers will replace the brake vacuum hose on these vehicles.

Owner notification began October 28, 1998. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Mitsubishi carribean at 1-787-251-8715.
