Vehicle description: travel trailers (only models 26a and 24b are affected, and further identified by the characters "7a26" or "7b24" in the fourth through seventh positions of the vehicle identification number. The main wiring harness and generator battery wiring could be damaged by the generator exhaust system.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealers will relocate and secure the battery cable and main wiring harness away from the generator exhaust system; install a heat shield to protect wiring from excessive heat exposure from the generator exhaust; and replace any damaged wiring, if necessary.

Owner notification began during august1998. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact fleetwood at 1-800-445-3307.
