Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The rear outboard seat belt retractor spring can disengage from the rewind mechanism, disabling the retractor function, and preventing the blet from fitting snugly around the occupant.

Dealers will replace these retractors.

Owner notification began December 14, 1998. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
