Recall Summary:Vehicle description: sport utility vehicles. These vehicles may have a missing or partially installed retainer clip that holds the master cylinder push rod to the brake pedal arm.
How to Fix:Dealers will inspect these vehicles to see if the retainer clip was installed, and repair, if necessary.
Recall Notes:Owner notification began December 30, 1998. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673.
