Recall Summary:
Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks equipped with dual steering. The steering column pinch bolts may be under-torqued or missing.
How to Fix:
Dealers will inspect for the presence of the required fasteners, install fasteners is missing, and retorque to specifications.

Owner notification began September 1, 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.
