Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. These vehicles do not comply with requirements of fmvss no. 208, "occupant crash protection. " some of these vehicles were manufactured with welds in the instrument panel carrier assembly that do not meet Saturn quality standards.

Dealers will repair the vehicle's instrument panel carrier assembly.

Owner notification began August 24, 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Saturn at 1-800-553-6000, prompt 3.
