Vehicle description: motorcycles. The spring in the cam chain tension adjuster can break allowing the cam chain to jump to the wrong position on the cam shaft sprockets. If the chain jumps to the wrong position, severe engine damage could occur causing sudden engine failure.

Dealers will replace the original cam chain tension adjuster with a revised cam chain tension adjuster.

Owner notification began October 13, 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Suzuki at 1-800-255-2550.
