| Investigations Summary: | This investigation was opened on Sep. 15, 1999. It was closed on Feb. 22, 2000. Odihas received seven complaints of alleged rear seat belt retractor problems on model year (my 1995 Oldsmobile aurora and my 1995-96 Buick riviera vehicles. The complaints state that the retractor mechanisms fail to retract the belt webbing, thus not providing secure fit for the occupants. Three of the complaintants stated that a spring in the retractor had failed. All of the complaints have been received since August of 1998. |
