Investigations Summary: This investigation was opened on Nov. 17, 1999. It was closed on Mar. 27, 2000. Odi has received seven vehicle owner's question (voq) reporting stop lamp failures in the subject vehicles. The failure mode appears to involve heat-related failure of circuit board-mounted light bulb sockets (one complainant smelled melting plastic from inside her vehicle).
