Six problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Avenger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 60 mph. Driver's airbag deployed 60 seconds after impact. But, passenger's airbag did not deploy. Manufacturer will be notified.
Vehicle was in an accident, and driver's air bag did not deploy. Also, seat belt did not hold driver back.
When going down a moutain in foggy weather, driving about (40) or (45) mph, lost control of vehicle and went off the road, car flipped over about (2) or (3) times and hit hillside head on and the air bags did not deploy.
Vehicle struck another vehicle from behind and air bags did not deploy. The back seat belt that held the css in, came unlatched which made the css fall forward.
During head-on collision dual air bags did not deploy. Rear seat belt released and threw the child in back of front seat.
