One problem related to automatic transmission torque converter has been reported for the 1996 Dodge Avenger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Torque converter dropped and hit metal casing. Tow operator indicated it was from transmission failure. Contacted Chrysler, and they were aware of problem.
