Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 1998 Dodge Avenger

Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 1998 Dodge Avenger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 11/21/2010

The contact owns a 1998 Dodge Avenger. While the contact was driving 55 mph the vehicle hit a bump causing the lower control arm to snap and the suspension to hit the tire and the fender. The vehicle was towed. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor was it repaired. The failure mileage was 114,000. Updated 01/14/lj.

Recall #967. Consumer states that ball joints were not seal as noted in notice.
