One problem related to transmission not go into gear has been reported for the 1999 Dodge Avenger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission would be sluggish when gas pedal is pressed. There are no leaks. Fails to change gears properly. Took to dealer & had diagnostic check, with dye, done. No problem found. Mechanic replaced transmission. Also had brake disc replaced due to excessive wear.
