One problem related to transmission gear slipping has been reported for the 2000 Dodge Avenger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was traveling around 80mph on I 75. All of a sudden the transmission slipped. It was like hitting a wall. I went from 80 mph to less then 30 mph. Trasmission is now slipping infrequently.
