Defogger Heater problems of the 2008 Dodge Avenger

1 Defogger Heater problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2012

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated that the front passenger side window was opened but could not be closed. The window regulator motor was replaced. In addition, the vehicle was overheating abnormally. The contact refilled the coolant reservoir but the failure recurred. The vehicle had also become resistant to acceleration attempts while driving 10 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the dealer was unable to diagnose the failures. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage was 96,000.

2 Defogger Heater problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2010

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Avenger. While driving at approximately 60 mph, the contact noticed water entering and leaking onto the front passengers floor board. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was advised that the heater core would need to be replaced and was causing the water failure. The vehicle was left with the dealer where the contact was awaiting repairs to the heater core. The failure and current mileages were 40,000.
