The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact received a recall notice for the steering:electric power assist system (10v475000). Upon making an appointment at a local dealer, the dealer informed the contact that the parts were not available. They agreed to inspect the vehicle, but the vehicle was not inspected. The dealer advised the contact that the parts would not be available for approximately a year. The contact stated that this is a safety issue and it could cause a fire. The failure mileage was 3,000.
