general problems of the 2010 Dodge Avenger

I keep having the vehicle fixed and then they keep telling me nothing else needs to be fixed with it. It keeps pullingn when I come to a stop and then decelerates while I'm driving and I have to pull over on the highway or pull off the highway and start the car again. No lights come on there's oil in the car I just had an oil change I just had to brake pads fixed even though the brakes keep squeaking the rotors are new xcetera. This isn't the first time it has decelerated I had to have a part replaced a couple years ago because it was doing the same thing. Trying to figure out if there's any recalls on the car in order to get those recalls fixed. It did the same thing last year and when I took it in they fixed another part. It's never the same part that the mechanics fix and say is causing the problem.

Heat works on driver side and cold on passenger side srationary.

See star case s1207000008 - heat has gone out on the passenger side of the vehicle. This is a huge safety issue, as I cannot defrost half of my windshield or the passenger windows.

I need some answers to this major safety issue. I have been experiencing issues with my 2010 Dodge Avenger. These issues are while driving the vehicle on the roadway, highway vehicle just cuts of without any warning signs with cars going at least 45mph following. Vehicle has also not started on over 15 occasions. I have taken it to the dealership who intern has made repairs stating that the issue was fix, but when I get vehicle home after an enormous repair bill it won't start again. The dealer has told me that they don't know why vehicle is abruptly going dead while driving. This is a major safety issue. Last occurence was in October 2019. Vehicle is still a repair shop.

My car stalls randomly driving down the road I'm concerned I may get into a accident I'm afraid to take my grandchildren in my vehicle! I took it to greve Dodge dealership in van wert ohio they had my vehicle one day shy of three weeks they aid it needed throttle body programmed to my vehicle then I got the vehicle back it wouldn't run they forgot to hook my intake hose back up ! when I picked it up they said I may need a pcm but they really aren't sure just guessing I choose not to spend 1,400 more for part and labor would be total 2,000 anyhow now my vehicle wont leave thedrive it actually went somewhere before even if it stalled since they worked on it I can't leave driveway I put complaint on there site they offered me two free oil changes if I removed it they can keep their oil changes my vehicle is worst since they tried to fix it! do they have any recalls on this vehicle??? I've did a lot of research these Avengers are none to stall what is the problem check engine light does not come on ! please help this is my only vehicle and I have a new job I just want answers ! I also own a 2011 Dodge Avenger this is the third throttle body replaced and dealership said it needed to be programmed to vehicle and I would be good to go well now since they did that it won't leave drive ! thank you for your time god bless I don't want in a wreck due to stalling on major highway but since they tried to fix it I can't drive no where my mother says she's afraid I'll be killed in this car it's not safe.

Car was parked in a condo parking lot and had not been driven for 3 days. Walked out to car and saw signs of fire at the gas input on the outside of the car. Opened the gas input door and gas cap was melted and destroyed, fire ash, etc. Visible.

The heat on the whole right side blow cold air when is set in heat while the driver side blow hot air, and the ac/heater control burn even making some smoke pretty scary seen that happened while driving on a city street, I change the control which was $180 and replace myself.

Almost 2 years ago, my car would not start. Since it had about 55,000 miles on it, I had a new 5-year warranty battery put in on April 5, 2015. Had it serviced on April 18 and 25 because it would not start; after having to have it jumped a few times replaced battery on August 28. After several times it not starting, took it to dealership on October 29, 2015 and they replaced the battery again. On December 1, 2016, it would not start, took to dealership said there was corrosion. Would not start Dec. 5, dealership shut the a/c compressor off on Dec. 6. February 12, 2017, my car would not start, once jumped, dropped it off at the dealership where it is now. When I am home, I always keep my car in a garage every night. I am the original owner of this vehicle, live alone, and extremely frustrated with this issue since it has less than 70,000 miles on it and I have taken it to a reputable mechanic 3x and the dealership 4x for this issue.

2010 Dodge Avenger stx 4 cy. At about 64,000 check engine light came on with codes p0700 and p0760. Had transmission overhauled. Changed fluid filters etc. Was driving veh with odometer at approx 101,000 miles while driving at approx 35 mph. Veh all of a sudden started as if engine was racing or excellorating and then jumped hard into gear,check engine light illuminated and veh would not change gears while driving. Veh would not pass first gear. Drove veh home approx 1 mi. Check codes and came up with codes p0760 and p0700. In process of having transmission serviced.

The catalytic converter was very old on a car that's only 6 years old. The car engine lights keeps cpmimg on fromtge catalytic converter and the car runs strange. The transmission is also going bad and the car is not that old. The car jumps bad. The transmission is not that strong for this car.

Takata recall the transmission gear selector is stuck in neutral. Gears when our shift into drive or park the dashboard. The gears will not shift into drive but the car will turn on. By reading other complaints it's been a happen thing with Dodge Avengers 2010 automobiles it need to be on recall for the transmission gear selector.

The interior cloth headliner is coming unglued and is beginning to hang down across the rear window. Not able to see all objects clearly in the rear view mirror due to this problem. This is a real safety issue. Never seen a vehicle less than 10 years old do this before. Very poor design.

Takata recall. My car honks at all times, driving, parked, at night, in the day. It makes the sound of me holding the horn down non stop also as if I was pressing it on and off. When parked it also makes the sound of the alarm being set, also the sound of the alarm going off as if someone tried to break into the car. But what is mostly bothering me is the honking while driving, I almost caused 2 other vehicles to crash n run red lights due to my car repeatedly honking at them at the red light, I been cursed out and one time a female was trying to fight me in front of my children for the same problem. I have taken the car to GMC Buick (which is where I purchased the car) and Buick mechanic came back saying the computer did not see a problem. This is something very serious specially with all the road range going on right now. Also my hazard lights constantly come on on its own without turning off after hours later. I have had this vehicle for 2 years and I have replaced the battery 3 times due to the car giving me problems to turn on.

While driving my 2010 Dodge Avenger, the electronic throttle body warning light will flash on and then go off, when it is on the car drops speed quickly and will not excellerate. This has happened to me numerous times over the last month. It has happened to me on major highways in heavy traffic and has almost had me get hit by other vehicles as my car drops speed with no warning. The light never stays on long enough to pull any codes from it. I have researched this issue and there is numerous complaints online about the electronic throttle body's being faulty that Dodge is putting in 2008 - 2010 Avengers. I have notified Dodge of my issue and they basically told me they were sorry for my issue and that was it. This is a major safety issue, as someone can end being hit by another vehicle when their car stalls like this with no warning. This part is faulty as people have had them replaced and not even 6 months later they have had to have them replaced again, as the only replacement part available is from Dodge, which shows the parts are faulty. Once the car completely stalls out, it loses power steering and braking capabilities which is going to cause an accident and get someone killed. Please recall this part on the cars before someone gets hurt or killed, I do not want it to be me or one of my children riding in my car that ends up getting killed from an automobile accident because Dodge was not made to recall these faulty parts on their Avengers. I plan on pursuing this issue until there is some sort of resolution for customers that have these model cars from Dodge.

I parked the car and went back to it and the front tire was flat, due to the tpms (tire pressure monitoring) sensor had corroded, causing it to break off and the valve stem to go inside the tire and wheel of the car. A further inspection of the rest of the tpms sensors revealed that the right rear tpms sensor was also corroded and half broken, and could have snapped off while driving, causing an immediate blow-out of the tire and a potential crash/injury.

First my passenger door opened and then would no close. Once we got it to close it will not open at all. 4 weeks later I opened my drivers door and now it will not close. I contacted crysler and was told there was no recall on this model year although there were recalls on previous years for the same issue.

I want to know why your website claims there are 2 open recalls on this vehicle, and the Chrysler database claims none.

2010 Dodge Avenger. Rental vehicle from enterprise-rent-a-car was involved in car accident.

The trunk lid holds water, so when you open the trunk it leaks water every where. Now my trunk smells like mildew, which my kids and grandkids have to breath in when in the back seat. You can also smell it in the front seats too.
