1 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2017

2011 Dodge Avenger. 3. 6l engine. While driving between 30 and 40 mph, on deceleration, once the gas pedal is pressed to accelerate, the engine stalls. All electrical still works, but power steering and braking are lost. Car does not restart for at least an hour or more, but will start evnetually. Has happened "intermittently" 10 times since Dec 2017 (this report done July 2018). 8 dealer trips with a torque converter replacement, new fuel pump and still stalling issues while trying to accelerate. Empty back roads, state highways and even busy freeways have all been locations for stalls. All weather conditions, (winter, summer, wet, dry). One code pulled referred to the tipm, which is a major problem for Chrysler, but not documented in the Avenger. Dealer wants a second code to confirm but of the 10 stalls and 8 being towed to the dealer immediately, only once was code saved in car's computer.

2 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2017

My car's engine stalls and shuts off while in the middle of acceleration or even while at idle. The dealership cannot find any issues as to why it would stop running and I am extremely afraid to drive the car for fear I will have an accident. When the engine stalls, the power steering stops working and it is hard to steer the car to a safe spot.

3 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2012

Upon coming to a stop at a traffic light the engine stalled/ shut off. Had to put in in park to restart and no warning lights came on. Seems normal now.
