The passenger side head rest popped out on it's own. Was parked when it happened.
Put gear shift into park position while parking car. Car did not register that it was supposed to be in park and stayed in drive. Gear was stuck and was unable to shift. Turned car off and car would not turn back on, as well as the shifter not being able to move.
The catalytic converter is making my engine run rough and can't get it inspected because of it. It's costing me more to run the vehicle and I can't afford to get into an accident when the engine stalls.
Both head rest which is attached to airbags or have airbags in them I don’t know but the exploded open. Headrest could have exploded while someone was in the seat and got head injuries. No problem has not been confirmed by anyone but myself,husband and self employed mechanic, I didn’t know what to do. No, no type of warning before it happen. Passenger one exploded January 2025, driver exploded about may 2025.
Recently bought the car about two months ago and ever since I’ve had it, it was randomly cut off anywhere and anytime and when it cuts off the power steering goes out and it makes it hard to control but I had mechanics that I know personally look at it, and they cannot figure it out no one can figure it out and also the control valve for putting the gas in the car is messed up and I seen that there was a recall for that and as I’m riding down the road, the horn just blows out of nowhere consistently and it could also scare you while you’re driving and that’s dangerous and thank you.
I urgently need your assistance regarding a critical and unsafe situation concerning the pcm/ecu. Recently, while driving, my car began to shudder as if it was on the verge of stalling. To add to the alarming situation, every warning light on the dashboard illuminated. The speedometer and thermostat suddenly stopped functioning, leaving me without crucial information about the vehicle's speed and temperature. This not only compromised my safety but also made it impossible to gauge the car's performance. In response to this hazardous scenario, I immediately pulled over to a stop. Sadly, the car shut off, and despite my attempts, it has refused to restart ever since. The inability to restart presents a severe safety issue and has left me stranded without transportation. Compounding this ordeal, several auto shops have tried to address the pcm/ecu connectivity issues with no success. This recurring problem, combined with the recent dangerous episode on the road, underscores the urgency for resolution. I am deeply concerned about the potential risks posed by the malfunctioning pcm/ecu and the compromised safety of both myself and others on the road. The inability to accurately monitor speed and temperature could have dire consequences if left unaddressed.
Window defrost and passenger heat /air. While either in motion or while driving, no heated air exits the passenger side of the windshield defroster, nor the passenger window defrost, lower and center console vents. Heated air only exits the driver's side windshield and driver's side dash vents. Problem persists through all cabin air modes, and circulations. This safety issue effects visibility and passenger safety by failing to defrost/defog windows and keeping cabin tempuratures near or below freezing during cold weather (blowing cold air into the cabin.
The heater in my vehicle continues to not work. Blows out cold air constantly. Unable to defrost my windshield, difficult to see out of a frosted over windshield.
The cars heat only works on one side, which causes the windshield and windows to become foggy which is a safety issue while driving.
The heating/defrost system on the car is no longer working. After checking online there appears to be many of the make and model that has this problem due to poor design of the heater core which allows the heater core to corrode and plug much earlier than it should. Because of this problem you cannot keep the front windshield and side windows cleared during the winter. This car only has 62,000 miles.
The heat on the passenger does not work at all I was driving and the frost kept coming back on the windshield I almost had a wreck with another vehicle. The way the sunshine hit the frost on the windshield it shined to bright for me to see. How is this safe? I have seen where many people are having this issue online. It just blows cold air on the passenger side vents. No police were involved but I could’ve ended up in the hospital all because of a little part that won’t get recalled.
My heat seems to be blowing cold air when in fact it should be only heat blowing.
Drivers side blows hot air but passenger side is cold. Had clicking noise coming from glove box and discovered bad blend door actuator. Replaced blend door and clicking went away but still no hot air on passenger side. Defrost struggles to defrost windshield which is a safety issue. I have read numerous complaints on here as well as the internet about people having the same issue yet Dodge won’t issue a recall to fix this issue.
Car shut off while driving no warning when it did.
On Apr 11,2021 I was driving around 35-40 mph and my hood came flying up in front of me. I have call Chrysler and they sent out inspector ron marnese, who inspected the car and found the secondary latch was not working. Chrysler has informed me that they will not fix my car due to it being out of warranty and there is no recall. Inspector had told me that he thought that engineering would want the latch and thought this would get repaired by them due to the car being in excellent shape. Chrysler did not seem to care the this is a safety issue.
Passenger side heat is inop resulting in windshield fogging over while driving and causing an issue seeing the road as the environmental system is unable to maintain proper climate control. This happens every winter, and whenever it rains. This is a persistent problem in highway, and city traffic resulting in near accidents. I've had this cars system flushed and that is only a temporary fix as this is a known issue as stated from mechanics.
Passenger side blows cold air and will not defrost the front window when driving. We live in mt and this causes visibility issues and seems to be a common problem with this. Also, the vehicle keeps quitting at various times. It has been seen multiple times and over $5k dropped into it with the same issues.
I was driving down the interstate when my cel light came on. I barely made it to the side of the road o investigate it. My car would not run, and I had to get towed home. . . . . . Turns out the my upper radiator hose was broken where the fitting goes into the hose. After trying to find the fitting I was told I had to buy the entire assembly. Confused as to why I had to buy the entire assembly I looked at the new part and it had been redesigned where the fitting is now held on by a more permanent heat-shrink looking tube instead of hose clamps. Well, seeing that the upper radiator hose is a very important part of the radiator I was also a little confused as too why you would want consumers to have to spend 100. 00 for just the part , if they are lucky enough to be parked and find it, but if they are unlucky like myself then they also receive a tow bill on top of that. Seems to me that it is an ongoing problem because it has already been rediesigned. I believe that this should be under recall because if/when the fitting decides to break not only did my car cut off but there is a big likleyhood that it could lock up or even damage your water pump , engine, etc.
My vehicle was recently stolen and the color of my vehicle was very rare light blue and recently I have come across a vehicle that's for sale even though it does have a different VIN number in different mileage the possibility of the same vehicle color been in my area for sale end it was stolen out of my driveway after it was returned back from a car shop I know the russians are pretty legit and stealing vehicles in our area and putting them and doing different things I just wanted to know if this vehicle was actually my vehiclethey have been switched up and if there's anyway that I can look at it.
Vent doors keep failing, driver side vent gets hot while one of the vents in the middle is warm and the other is cool. Passanger side is cold as can be. This is while using the heater. I have seen many people online talk about this problem. I have also seen reports on NHTSA about the same issues. I also have replaced them multiple times.
Replaced heater core and air door actuator 12/13 months ago because passenger side blew ice cold air driver side hot air. Also defogger/defrost did not work. No visibility throughout windshield on passenger side due to ice build up. Same problem after just 12-13 months. Now it includes a thumpng noise under the dashboard when ac is turned on.
Cannot get the car to shift into gear. When in reverse it wanted to got forward and when it drive still going forward. I had to cut the car off, to avoid crashing. Now it will not start nor will my trunk open.

Hot air from driversss side and cold air in passengers side. Hot air seems to be coming from the floor at my feet. I just started my car for first time in day and this was happening.
The vehicle was slowing down while driving on the freeway. Etc, esc, and check engine lights went on. The dome light in the car was flickering and the lights in the dashboard went dark and the speedometer was not visible. This happened in broad daylight.
I was driving on the highway at about 55 mph then suddenly my car stalled. My car shut completely off. I saw that there was a recall for this but it was for the smaller engine which does not include my engine. I just took my car to the dealer and he said their was an oil pressure problem which caused the oil housing to leak.
The issue occurs mostly while the vehicle is in motion, but occasionally when it is sitting still and idling. While driving, the car engine will suddenly stall. No warning lights or check engine lights turn on. No codes are found when scanning the obd2. There are no recorded miss fires for any of the cylinders either. This is an especially dangerous situation specifically when driving full speed on major highways or roads. When the engine stalls, power steering cuts out and I have to muscle the car off to the side of the road to put the car in park and start it up again. The engine has stalled while going in reverse, driving forward, and sitting idle. This has happened over a dozen times now.
2013 Dodge Avenger has randomly started honking the horn while stopped and in motion. The honking lasts anywhere from a quick honk to sounding like I am laying on the horn for minutes going down the freeway. I have tried pulling over and restarting the vehicle which did not help or stop the horn. This is very dangerous.
For the past couple of months my horn goes off on its own. Sometimes it goes off when I lock my car, other times it does not. It will sometimes click, and other times it will blare for 5 seconds. It is very startling especially while driving in traffic or sitting at a stoplight. Once I was driving in the rain, and it went off for about 8 seconds and at the same time my windshield wipers started to stall and not work properly. The horn does not work when I push on it like it should. It is very concerning since it can cause safety issues.
The passenger side heat blows cold air,therefore when trying to defrost my windshield my windshield frosted back up after being scraped of ice and began to spread to the drivers side which made it very difficult to see where I was going and could have caused an accident.
Went to the dealership on 12/19/2019 for two recalls on my car. The repair was stated that it would take 2-3 hours but took 5 hours. The next day the car started backing up out of the drive way on its on and now it does not start. Called the dealership to tell them the problem and they stated that I have to find a way to bring the car there and pay for the repair myself. My car was fine before they worked on it.
The driver side blows hot air when heater is on, but passenger remains cold. Cannot get passenger side to defrost / defog because of this problem and has been happening since the day it was bought. Even when I was in warranty (bumper to bumper) I still would have to pay to fix it. This happens whether stationary / idle or driving.
I was driving my 2013 Dodge Avenger and the horn goes off by itself from 3 seconds to 3 minutes constantly. When I drive the car it cuts off. My car has only 85000 miles and I have read similar complaints regarding this vehicle around that mileage.
The heater will only come out on the driver side. With the heater on only cold air will come out.
The head gasket failed and was replaced despite protestations from the dealership. I learned the head gasket had a design flaw causing it to fail prematurely. Catalytic converter recalled, dealership advised it was unknown when it would repaired. Recall advised delay could damage engine. Finally repaired after complaint to dealership gm. Vehicle is making noises and losing power suddenly, then sudden increase of rpm while driving. Sudden loss of power could cause crash in traffic, same with sudden rpm increase. Fan wiring harness recalled, dealership advised of failure to fan when taken in for headgasket, nothing done. Multiple complaints made with Dodge hq.
