I was driving and I stopped at a stop sign. When I got ready to go, the car stalled and stopped and wouldn't start. After 30 minutes, it started but I ended up having it towed. My mechanic was able to replicate it after putting the car in the sun, running it for 10 minutes and then driving it. When the mechanic tried to look at it, he couldn't find anything to cause it to stop. I look it to the dealership. They were unable to replicate it or find the problem. It seems to happen when the car gets hot it stops without warning. Other people in the Dodge Avenger online group have experienced the same thing. Put gear shift into park position while parking car. Car did not register that it was supposed to be in park and stayed in drive. Gear was stuck and was unable to shift. Turned car off and car would not turn back on, as well as the shifter not being able to move.

The catalytic converter is making my engine run rough and can't get it inspected because of it. It's costing me more to run the vehicle and I can't afford to get into an accident when the engine stalls.

My car has no heat on the passenger side causing window fogging this is the 3 time I have had the car in at the dealers and they say it's a clogged heater core I have the extended warranty. The dealer said the warranty is no longer covering heater cores when it should a recall with so many complaints. Recently bought the car about two months ago and ever since I’ve had it, it was randomly cut off anywhere and anytime and when it cuts off the power steering goes out and it makes it hard to control but I had mechanics that I know personally look at it, and they cannot figure it out no one can figure it out and also the control valve for putting the gas in the car is messed up and I seen that there was a recall for that and as I’m riding down the road, the horn just blows out of nowhere consistently and it could also scare you while you’re driving and that’s dangerous and thank you.

I urgently need your assistance regarding a critical and unsafe situation concerning the pcm/ecu. Recently, while driving, my car began to shudder as if it was on the verge of stalling. To add to the alarming situation, every warning light on the dashboard illuminated. The speedometer and thermostat suddenly stopped functioning, leaving me without crucial information about the vehicle's speed and temperature. This not only compromised my safety but also made it impossible to gauge the car's performance. In response to this hazardous scenario, I immediately pulled over to a stop. Sadly, the car shut off, and despite my attempts, it has refused to restart ever since. The inability to restart presents a severe safety issue and has left me stranded without transportation. Compounding this ordeal, several auto shops have tried to address the pcm/ecu connectivity issues with no success. This recurring problem, combined with the recent dangerous episode on the road, underscores the urgency for resolution. I am deeply concerned about the potential risks posed by the malfunctioning pcm/ecu and the compromised safety of both myself and others on the road. The inability to accurately monitor speed and temperature could have dire consequences if left unaddressed.

The heater in my vehicle continues to not work. Blows out cold air constantly. Unable to defrost my windshield, difficult to see out of a frosted over windshield.

Was hit from the rear emd amd air bags did not deploy. Back bumper was totally destroyed amd brakes go out fast.

Just got this car from the dealers used with only 97000 miles and first time I used the heat and I have no heat on right side of car just drivers side vent. Not even the center vents blow hot air. Please help.

Drivers side head rest deployed. We were in no accident. Head rest popped out coming home from work.

Vehicle turns off while driving sometimes starts up sometimes not! doesn't give a warning replaced multiple things afraid of the car doing it in a turn everything shuts down power steering and everything!.

Throttle body changed 3 times still stalling and poor acceleration problems very unsafe stalls out of no where very frustrated also changed electronic pedal and battery lighting signs still comes on and stalls very dangerous!.

The cars heat only works on one side, which causes the windshield and windows to become foggy which is a safety issue while driving.

The heating/defrost system on the car is no longer working. After checking online there appears to be many of the make and model that has this problem due to poor design of the heater core which allows the heater core to corrode and plug much earlier than it should. Because of this problem you cannot keep the front windshield and side windows cleared during the winter. This car only has 62,000 miles.

The heater core went again this is the 2nd one, it's a very scary thing when you can't get your windows passenger side defrosted. I live in michigan and I have to have heat. Thank you tom smith.

The heat on the passenger does not work at all I was driving and the frost kept coming back on the windshield I almost had a wreck with another vehicle. The way the sunshine hit the frost on the windshield it shined to bright for me to see. How is this safe? I have seen where many people are having this issue online. It just blows cold air on the passenger side vents. No police were involved but I could’ve ended up in the hospital all because of a little part that won’t get recalled.

Power steering pressure line keeps breaking or coming off.

My heat seems to be blowing cold air when in fact it should be only heat blowing.

Drivers side blows hot air but passenger side is cold. Had clicking noise coming from glove box and discovered bad blend door actuator. Replaced blend door and clicking went away but still no hot air on passenger side. Defrost struggles to defrost windshield which is a safety issue. I have read numerous complaints on here as well as the internet about people having the same issue yet Dodge won’t issue a recall to fix this issue.

Passenger headrest deployed without cause or accident and hit passenger in head. Resulting in headache and pain.

Car shut off while driving no warning when it did.

On Apr 11,2021 I was driving around 35-40 mph and my hood came flying up in front of me. I have call Chrysler and they sent out inspector ron marnese, who inspected the car and found the secondary latch was not working. Chrysler has informed me that they will not fix my car due to it being out of warranty and there is no recall. Inspector had told me that he thought that engineering would want the latch and thought this would get repaired by them due to the car being in excellent shape. Chrysler did not seem to care the this is a safety issue.

My car doesn't start. I've been having the same problems since last year. I've been told 3 times that it was the alternative so I've bought 3. Then I was told it was the cords on my battery so I fixed that. Now I'm currently getting it looked at which I think it is the transmission or starter. I've also bought two batteries. Last week wen I went to the store a girl came up to me and asked do I have problems with my car I told her yes she said her mother has the same car as I do and told me that she her car keeps turning off and want crank. She said she put so much money into the car that she just had to get another one. So I know that it has to be something wrong because I'm also having those same type of problems and I keep my car up very well.

Passenger side heat is inop resulting in windshield fogging over while driving and causing an issue seeing the road as the environmental system is unable to maintain proper climate control. This happens every winter, and whenever it rains. This is a persistent problem in highway, and city traffic resulting in near accidents. I've had this cars system flushed and that is only a temporary fix as this is a known issue as stated from mechanics.

I just purchased this vehicle from 2nd owner, I live in south georgia, temperatures are mild, but need heat during winter months sometime. Jheater issues - I have a 2012 Avenger; the heat on the passenger side of the car stopped blowing hot air. I took the Avenger in for a diagnostic test and was told that the issue was from casing sand clogging the radiator, heater core and the oil cooler. Several internet forums owners report this same problem with only limited fixes for any length of time, dealer prices at $1000. 00 or more. Dodge should cover this defect with a recall, this is a defect caused at factory level, not owners.
