Four problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 35 mph the front brakes caught on fire. The dealer was notified and replaced the brake pads. The pads only had 1500 miles on them.
Left front brake pad and rotor unevenly worn causing consumer to hear a metal on metal noise.
Poor front disc design. Pads worn out 3 times in less than 40k miles. $235 per repair.
Brakes pads and rotors failed.
