Tire Blowout problems of the 1998 Dodge Caravan

Three problems related to tire blowout have been reported for the 1998 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire Blowout problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2007

Driving 20 mph on local road, had front and rear passenger side tires incur blowouts without any apparent cause. Tires were rotated every 6,000 miles and inflation checked at least monthly. Tires were 3 years old and had approximately 22,000 miles or wear.

2 Tire Blowout problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2001

Tire blew out at freeway speed, tread was in good condition, cause unclear (possibly puncture). (tiresize: p215/65r15).

3 Tire Blowout problem

Failure Date: 07/03/1999

While driving on I 99 the right rear tire blew out completely. Took to repair shop and they inspected all the tires and noticed two other tires were separating. Consumer has to get 3 tires replaced before consumer could leave the shop.
