Brake Disc Rotor problems of the 1999 Dodge Caravan

Four problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2003

The rotors corroded, which caused extended stopping distance.

2 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2002

When applying the brake, the rotors have holes in them causing vehicle to have extend stopping distance. Dealer notified. Ts consumer has had problems with the vehicle since purchase. After having the rotors repaired, the vehicle stops at a much shorter distance.

3 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 08/26/2000

Front brake rotors have rusted through, causing the brakes to fail. Rotors have been replaced. Rear brake drums also are rusting. The rust that is dislodged is fouling the self-adjuster mechanisms, and manual adjustment of the rear brakes is peridically needed.

4 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Brake rotors pitted with rust, dealer refuses to replace rotors, dealer turned them instead.
