Complete transmission failure on a 1999 Dodge ge and Caravan VIN# [xxx] at 67,723 miles. No help from Chrysler on this problem, because of high mileage. Transmissions should not fail this soon. We had a transmission failure on another grand Caravan with VIN# [xxx] that had 37,491 miles on it that was mostly covered by them. These vehicles appear to have defects and should be covered by Chrysler and built to last. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The transmission failed during normal use. Nlm.
Other people may have similar problem with transmission failure. At 5000 miles I find this unacceptable. Chrysler 's customer service leaves alot to be desired.
