1 Tank Filler Pipe And Cap problem

2001 Dodge Caravan - private mechanic replaced fuel filter, had to drop gas tank to do so as that is only access. This resulted in total disconnect from fuel neck filler line, etc. After replacement and reinstall of gas tank, engine light comes on. Mechanic tried to fix, replaced gas cap. Cannot get light to go off. Will have to drop gas tank again in future for repair. No other codes coming up for engine light. Reason: compression leak in fuel line, system.

2 Tank Filler Pipe And Cap problem

Failure Date: 08/13/2004

The dashboard illuminated. Took vehicle to the dealer, and was told the fuel system had a leak. Also, air was getting into the system. Found that the fuel filler neck had to be replaced because it was corroded.
