1 Automatic Transmission problem

Letter from complaint regarding problems with his 2006 Dodge Caravan 3759 VIN; the vehicle was repossessed on sept 30, 2010 and now has a recall on it; he is seeking help in having the vehicle returned to him. The consumer stated the vehicle seemed to lose power and made noises when going up a hill. Also, all of the instruments on the dashboard went out, when the consumer hit a bump in the road.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2010

When parallel parking my 2006 Dodge Caravan today (5/15/10) with foot firmly on the brake pedal, the vehicle lunged forward a couple feet then stopped. About a year ago this also happened and Dodge inspected and cleaned the throttle body per TSB.

3 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 06/20/2009

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Caravan. Since June of 2009, the vehicle jerks and hesitates when stopping and then accelerating. The vehicle was taken in for repair, but the mechanic explained that no new parts were manufactured because the previous parts were defective. The mechanic received this information from the dealer. The failure mileage was 65,000.

4 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 01/24/2009

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Caravan. While parked on a small incline with the parking brake engaged, the vehicle rolled backwards and struck another vehicle. There were no injuries. The contact feels that this is very unsafe because his children could have been in the vehicle and injured. The current mileage was 53,294 and failure mileage was 53,264. The consumer stated he left the vehicle running with the gear in park. However after a few minutes, the consumers wife turned the vehicle off.
