2 Service Brakes problem

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained shoulder, wrist and foot injuries that did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was able to be driven and not taken to a dealer or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,300. Ed.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine maintenance when the contact was advised that the front brake was displaying abnormal wear, and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle took to an independent mechanic, who advised that the rotors were destroyed and the calibers were abnormally fused to the brakes. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacture was alerted of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,569. K mj.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2013

The van silently stalls. So far it has only happened at low speeds. When this happens it becomes very hard to steer and break. The first incident was during a u-turn with my 2yr old child and wife in the car. We ended up having to make use of the wheel chair ramp on the side walk. Mechanics have been unable to diagnose and unable to fix and this is still a problem.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/11/2012

After refueling the engine cut off and lost all power in the van while turning into a parking lot. This happens consistantly after refueling. The van will begin to shake then cut off completely. I am able to restart it again and gain full power. Resently, it cuts off after refueling and in the rain.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2007

1 year old, 2006 Dodge Caravan, traveling on the highway, at 65 mph, the rear right brake locked on. Smoke started to come out of the axle/wheel area, and once stopped, the car had trouble moving. Dealer repaired said they were adjusted to tight, but no work had been done, since regular maintenance 10 days and couple hundred miles previous.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/26/2006

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated while driving at approximate speeds of 65 mph and applying the brakes, the vehicle began to shake violently and was hesitant to decrease speed. The vehicle was not repaired however, the contact stated he had recently had the brakes and rotors replaced at a local repair facility prior to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000 and the current mileage was approximately 24,000.
