The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated while driving 30 mph the vehicle accelerated and the abs brake system failed to engage. There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact shifted the vehicle to a lower gear in order to slow the vehicle down. The contact was forced to place the vehicle in reverse gear in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was driven onto the emergency lane and turned off. When the contact restarted the vehicle the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the defect but did not provide a remedy. A local mechanic diagnosed the failure and confirmed that it was an abs hydraulic control failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 62,000. The VIN was not provided.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/25/2011

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Caravan. The contact noticed that the accelerator pedal was detached from the vehicle. The contact was able to drive the vehicle by depressing the medal part that was connected to the pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician advised that the pedal would have to be replaced but the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired.
