Four problems related to body have been reported for the 2010 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a recall on the rear quarter window switch that may overheat . I received the letter on Thursday and by Sunday my door caught on fire, now not only the switch must be replaced and I suppose all wiring and rest of the switches and the door interior panel should be change because of damage. I called the recall center and after two days I'm still waiting for a call with instructions as to what to do not to mention the scare me and my wife got and the expenses it will cost me because I need to rent a car until the issue is resolved.
Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Dodge grand Caravan. The contact stated that the spoiler became warped in warm temperatures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed the spoiler need to be replaced. The repairs were made and the problem has ceased. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,038. Sr.
Upon starting the Dodge Caravan se 2010 I closed both power passenger doors with my children in safety belts, upon entering the drivers side my child asked me to turn on the overhead lights so that she could find something that dropped on the floor with the drivers door opened, and the vehicle running I turned on the overhead lights only to have both power passenger doors open on their own. I was able to replicate this error a number of times under similar conditions, and am unable to pin point a cause. This could be a large safety defect. What if this was to happen while traveling at highway speeds ? this issue could cause a minor passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. I ask for a recall / investigation.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that the passenger and driver side automatic doors had become inoperable. In addition, the sensors failed and could not detect when an object was blocking the door to prevent it from closing. As a result, a small child was injured as the sliding door haphazardly closed on a small child and failed to detect an object in the door's path. The dealer was notified of the issue and offered no assistance for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 50,000.
