Cruise Control problems of the 2010 Dodge Caravan

Three problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 2010 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 06/23/2016

1 push cruise control button 6-12 times to get it on. When car on highway 2 auto door senior is hitting rubber rail guide an stops door from shutting . Sometimes driver side side door hangs up won't open most time when its cold out. Happens in parking lot . Been going off and on since 06 23 2016.

2 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2015

While driving in rain storm with cruise control,wipers,lights,and radio on power to controls would turn off. Engine was still running and systems came back on after turning off radio, lights for awhile.

3 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2012

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the cruise control engaged automatically and caused the vehicle to accelerate to higher speeds. The contact immediately depressed the brakes and the cruise control disengaged, slowing the vehicle down. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis where they advised him that the aftermarket floor mats caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on an intermittent basis. The manufacturer was later contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 51,500. The current mileage was approximately 51,900. The VIN was unavailable.
