1 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2018

Driver side window rolls up and down 1/8 inch after the car has been completely shut off until the battery dies.

2 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 08/12/2018

My driver side window is going up in down on its own causes my battery to be dead, I feel this is a defect in the car that I should not have to pay for. I see that it is a problem with a lot of Dodges. Dodges are going to lose a lot of customers if not.

3 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2018

The car's Smart glass on the driver's side began to open/close by itself every few seconds. We called the dealership and scheduled an appointment for 1 week later as we were going on vacation. The car was stored in the garage and the window rolled down slightly while we were gone to keep the battery from dying. We came home and the battery was completely dead. Took the car to the dealership and in a few hours, the battery died again and we had to replace a $200 5 month old battery before they could even diagnose the issue. This same problem has been noted multiple times and is csn m24 that was released in October 2012, yet the manufacturer refuses to issue anything other than a TSB on 2011 and nothing on 2012 models. This part is faulty and has been noted by many owners. This issue needs to be addressed as a faulty part recall because not only does it effect the door, but it drains the battery and causes the car to be inoperable. Dodge/Chrysler is not assisting as the csn m24 only covers 2011 models.

4 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2018

Door latch defect causes windows to continually roll up and down after car is shut off thus causing battery to die overnight. This is not alleviated by leaving window slightly rolled down overnight. Apparently 2011 Challengers have been recalled, but not 2012.

5 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2017

Driver side window goes up and down about every 10-12 seconds when I parked in driveway. Car power is off and no one in car. Started where driver window would not close all the way when door shuts. Lasted about 10 days. I did not drive it as I am a disabled vet and could not climb over passenger seat to get out, or to let window up after door is closed. Mobility/flexibility not good. Rainy season in fla. Finally drove it, window began making clicking sound. Got home, got out of car, closed door and window began going up and down. Car parked with plastic bag over it. Had to leave window partially down to prevent further issues or battery to drain. Now car not secure from theft and interior damage. In search online, this is common problem for 2012 Challenger and recall issued for 2011 Challenger for same/similar problem. Problem is widespread and Dodge answer is take to service center. Service center charges min. $140. 00 just to diagnose then I'm sure repair cost is high also. Its obviously a manufacturer problem and Dodge needs to own it. I just hope my car is not ruined from the daily rain/constant bad weather or stolen or inside damaged. I don't understand why recall is not for all vehicles effected by this issue. Its obvious it is related and very common. Car has 60200 miles. Of course happened just after warranty expired. This is an issue that needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP. Use to love my car, but now it is useless to me. Been informed also causes battery failure. That's not a good thing to happen while driving. Please help. Please look into the many complaints and issue a recall. Make Dodge own their faults. So now I'm paying for a $30,000 car I cant drive and is sitting outside with plastic over it.

With the vehicle shut down and after exiting the vehicle, passenger side window moves up and down about a 1/4 in. Without being prompted. It continues till the battery is dead. Had to replace battery. Took to dealer, said it was a recalibration issue. . . . No fix.

8 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2016

Smart windows just begin opening and closing on their own. Windows will be down/wide open after sitting with car completely off all night leaving car unsecure to be stolen or vandalized, even leaving battery dead where car will not start. Windows also move up and down while driving on their own. This is a serious problem!.

9 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2015

Both driver and passenger windows go up and down every 3 seconds when the car is off. Causing the run the battery dead. I have taken to the dealership multiple times they claim to reset the Smart glass switch. It keeps happening and now that my warranty is out they offer to replace. I see this is a recall on 2011 models but it hasn't hit the 2012 yet. When it rains my entire seats are soaking wet and I have a dead battery every other day.
