The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph the upper ball joint and the wheel detached without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The contact called the local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 57,469.
I was driving my 2017 Challenger rt with only 22k miles down a city street. And while approaching a stop sign and my front passenger wheel completely broke off. I was not able to stop or steering enough to control the direction of travel. Causing me to hit a gate and a street at a college. Sadly I'm suffering from a broke neck, femur, leg, ankle, fractured lungs and ribs, and a ruptured vessel in my heart. My wheels were never removed from car since I purchased it on 5/13/2020.
