The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while reversing, the back-over prevention camera screen displayed a blue screen. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the back-over prevention camera was still enabled. The contact stated that the back-over prevention camera was displayed in real time. In addition, the contact stated that while driving forward, the image froze. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact referenced an unknown recall which had a similar failure description; however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The contact was informed that there were no unrepaired recalls on the VIN. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The VIN was not provided.

Back Over Prevention problem #2

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that after shifting from reverse to drive, the back over prevention image remained on screen for up to 10 seconds. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 20v191000 (back over prevention) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
