Tire problem #1

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound when the steering wheel was turned. The instrument panel would also get very hot. Additionally, the contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the driver’s and passenger’s side tires were worn. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not under recalls. The dealer diagnosed that the instrument panel overheated and burnt the connecting wires. The instrument panel was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 19v758000 (service brakes, tires, wheels). The failure mileage was 40,000.

Tire problem #2

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger equipped with goodyear tires. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the air pressure warning light would illuminate. The contact mentioned that there was an abnormal rubbing sound coming from the tires while turning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the inside of the front driver’s side tire was worn. The tire was the original tire. The tire was replaced however, a few months later the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front passenger’s side tire needed to be replaced from also being worn. The tire was replaced but a few weeks later the failure recurred. The failure recurred multiple times and only the front tires were replaced after each failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 46,000.

Tire problem #3

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Challenger equipped with michelin pilot mxm4 tires, size: p235/55/r18 (na). While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed cracks on the threads of all four tires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was confirmed and stated that the tires needed to be replaced. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 13,000.

Tire problem #4

Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Challenger equipped with goodyear tires, tire line: eagle f1 supercar, tire size: 245/45/r20, and dot was not available. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, there was a vibration in the tires and the vehicle veered to the left. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was confirmed that all four tires had cracked above the side wall and the driver side front tire was flat. The tires were replaced. The tires were the original tires. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage of the tire and the vehicle was 20,100. Djr.

Goodyear eagle rs-a tire handling issue. Size 245/45zr/20. On interstate highways with rain grooves, the tires are unstable, follow the rain grooves, you can not drive straight, the car drifts with the road surface, the tires will not track correctly while cornering.
