Front windshield on the passenger side developed a stress crack. There is no impact mark and the crack developed while turning a corner. Hopefully this doesn't mean that there is a deeper issue with the frame. This is a common issue on this year and model specifically that many have been complaining about on online forums. The crack grew from 5 inches to over a foot long within an hour. Others have said this will continue to grow horizontally until it splits the glass in two. This is a huge safety risk for all of the obvious reasons which can be googled. Not to mention it makes the car legally undrivable until fixed.

Back up camera is glitching and not detecting items behind me. I noticed that this item was a recall at one time but when I put my VIN it does not indicate a recall.

On March 25, 2025, the windshield in the vehicle spontaneously cracked, while parked and unattended, beginning from about midway down on the driver side a-pillar. This seems to be a known and repeated issue with windshields on the Dodge Challenger. Inspected by the dealership who stated that they had seen the issue before and agreed that it was obviously not struck with anything. Dodge (stellantis) denied warranty claim.
On Wednesday, [xxx] I was driving on [xxx] between daytona beach, florida and jacksonville, florida. My Dodge Challenger’s windshield suddenly cracked while driving when I transitioned from the newly resurfaced left hand lane to the lower, not yet resurfaced, right lane. Two cracks immediately formed from the left a-pillar. There was no impact from an object that caused this to occur. The component that failed was the windshield. My safety was put at risk as my visibility was no limited due to the cracks in the windshield glass. Two separate Dodge dealerships have inspected the vehicle's windshield and taken digital photographs. No, the manufacturer themselves have not inspected the vehicle or component. At least not in person. There were no prior warnings to the windshield cracking. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
-the windshield cracked along the right passenger side with no visible impact points prior to entering the vehicle. -the windshield crack reduces visibility thus increasing the risk of a crash. -the independent service center that replaced the windshield stated that it was 100% a stress crack induced through the manufacturing process. No visible impact point was found after removal of the windshield. -the windshield has not been inspected by any relevant authorities such as the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. -no warnings, messages, or symptoms of the problem were present prior to the failure.
Windshield cracked for no reason no scratches chips or damage but cracked from the a piller on the driver side.
Windshield - vehicle was parked in garage and windshield just cracked. 12" long, extends from driver side pillar inward. Driver line of sight. Appears to be a stress fracture, possible improper installation or defect in the glass.
Since the day of delivery, the 2018 Dodge Challenger I purchased from carvana has been non-operational due to a dead battery and significant engine problems. Despite multiple attempts to start the vehicle, it required towing to the dealer for repairs. Additionally, the car was delivered with illegally dark tint on all windows, including the front windshield, which is not compliant with California state regulations. These issues have rendered the vehicle unusable and have not been adequately addressed, posing safety and compliance concerns.

Rear backup camera will sometimes either be distorted or have a black screen while in reverse. This is a safety hazard as Dodge Challengers have large blind spots and makes it difficult to see when backing up without the rear camera. This has almost caused me to hit another car and pedestrians as it's hard to see them due to the blind spots and not having the assistance of the camera. While driving in the rain, the front windshield will have streaks across the whole window, making it very difficult to see while driving in the rain. Windshield wipers have been replaced several times but issue continues to happen. The breaks will shake when breaking. This causes the car to not want to break at times. I have brought my car back to the dealership on several different occasions for this issue and all they have done is resurfaced the rotors and have changed the break pads and told me that there is nothing else they can do and to break more aggressively as there is a film on the rotors causing the car to shake when breaking.
This is an issue with chassis rigidity and a manufacturing defect. Causing windshield breakage due to torsional forces, chassis load and unload. here's my case: 2023 Dodge Challenger r/t - 5. 7 / 6 speed manual. This car was purchased new 12/22/23, it's now broken two oem mopar windshields. First occurrence was 02/05/24 at 2,321 miles. This was warrantied by Dodge and replaced with a new mopar windshield, 03/06/24. Second occurrence was 04/05/24 at 6,446 miles. At this point in time, my car remains unfixed, undrivable, and has been undrivable since 4/5/24. The selling dealer, airport Jeep in platte city, missouri, has been "working" with a local frame shop to obtain an appointment for a laser frame check. At this point, we've been without the usability of a car, yet still paying for it, for over 30 days. Please see attached images regarding my case, alone. With that being said, I'm also attaching owner commentary and images of other 2023 Challengers where this has occurred as well. The above, being said. This is clearly a chassis build / bonding issue at time of manufacturing, allowing these vehicles to flex and cause chassis popping / noises and windshield breakage. . Read more...
It's not only related to my particular car. I moved to the us two years ago and was surprised how insainly dangerous driver side mirrors all of the american cars have. There is always a huge blind spot. People keep saying that if I adjust my mirrors properly there will be no problem, but it is not true. I've been driving for more than 10 years and now, at least once a week, I find myself in a dangerous situation. The bad thing is - it's is impossible to find a convex mirror as a replacement here. . Both sideview mirrors scratched easily even though I only use clean microfiber cloths to wash them. The scratches have gotten worse over time, and are starting to obstruct visibility.

Good morning the problem I'm having is the windshield that was put in by the manufacturing company which is Chrysler the windshield that was installed has been seal improperly which is causing a leak that only happens if it rains or took to a car wash and it's leaking behind the seal of the window and the whole windshield has to come out and be replace because it's leaking into the drivers floor and behind the dash board as it runs down the top side panel of the drivers side these is definitely a issue that needs to be look into and address immediately because this can really mess up a lot of electrical stuff in your car.
Uconnect screen bubbled and the touch screen function causes it to do things randomly. This also affects the back up camera/viewing functionality. .

My radio screen constantly keeps rebooting or going on and off. Every time I hit a bump in the street or on the highway it goes off, then I hit another small bump and it comes back on. Sometimes I don't have to do a anything, just be sitting parked, and it goes out, which in turn, I can not use my backup screen cause it's not there! that makes it dangerous cause I can not see cars or pedestrians behind me. As you know, my radio screen is key to other features that I can not use because of the constant rebooting or going off and on.

After first service and flash update an error message came up stating service rain sensing wipers. I had no function of the four sensitivity settings just low and high. The dealer said rain sensing wiper module was faulty. It was replaced and message went away. The first rain a couple of weeks later they stopped in the middle of the windshield. I was in the middle of a five lane hwy at 9:30 at night for aprox 15 minutes. Returned it back to the dealer and after five weeks they said my car was not equipped with rain sensing wipers. But it had them when I purchased the car. Sinse may 2015 my wipers work when they want too. My car has spent 40+ weeks at dealer with no repair. They will come on by themselves or just toggle and stop. This is very dangerous at night while raining. I have video that I have shown several dealers. There are several other issues since I was told it wasn't equipped with rain sensing wipers. I have numerous receipts for this problem if needed. The video of the issues are on my phone and I don't know how to transfer them.
