Car was parked. Floor shifter would not come out of park, ignition key would not come out of ignition switch. Ac distribution housing broken,vehicle wheels bent from normal driving. Dealer said key, ignition switch, floor shifter, other associated parts need replacement. . Over $7000 repair, wheels not included.

2 Ignition Switch problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2015

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and it was determined that the ignition switch failed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included on any recalls related to the ignition failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 163,000.
