I have called the dealerships in fresno CA and clovis CA asked them to check out my car because of all the recalls that were done by them I'm having problems with it or had to replace it again. I also told them since it was a recall and they supposedly repaired it I wanted them to check into it to see if the wrong was done because anyone could falsify a document I was turned away from both dealerships. I have receipts for parts I have replaced that were recalled, as diagnostics tests. This has been going on since 2022 one after another and then affects other parts I even asked them to do a software update for the electronic monostable gear they said no.
Abs light and traction light on. Alternator looses power. Alternator does keep the car running when disconnect from the battery.
I was driving it and all of the sudden it shut down and I couldn't push the breaks and it started to smell like burnt wiring badly and I was in the middle of the road and ended up having to push it on to the side of the road and then leave it were it died for 2 days until finally I got ahold of a tow truck and now its sitting in my drive way dead.
I was pulling into my driveway and as I was turning the car all of a sudden died and the wheel was hard to turn and the brakes locked up. I tried to start it again but it would just turn over but start fully.
Engine makes a weird noise when you turn it on and have it running sorta sounds like a truck. Brakes don't work sometimes you gotta step on the break petal all the way in if not you could possibly crash or hit another car parked near by. The control arms get stock a bit when doing a turn on 25mph-30mph.
1. The wiring to the headlights keeps burning into and it has been replaced twice already. 2. The radio doesn't come on when I start the car; I have to shut it off and restart it sometimes several times to get everything connected. 3. I have had to have my car aligned 4 times in 9 months and bought 2 sets of tires because it will not keep the alignment. This has been going on for over a year and the radio and lights has been happening for much longer. What can you tell me about these problems?.

I bought my Dodge Charger in 2 years ago for a recall on the alternator p60. My car has been giving me problems wow. Little things here and there. Then a few months ago the car shut off while I was driving and after a few minutes and turned itself back on. Which is part of the recall for the p60. It's been sitting in my driveway for a few months now but I finally called Dodge because a friend of mine told me that alternator in my car is a p60 so maybe they forgot to do the recall they brought the car in and there was a mix-up. So I went over the Dodge and I got paperwork for the day and they show that they swapped my alternator out with a p 60. So why would they swap my alternator out with a defective one? but they won't do anything about it they told me that's not the recalled one but it is I have a p602aa alternator in my car. My abs brakes weren't working when the power went out and a bunch of stuff that it said happens if you don't change that alternator. I think there was a mix-up somewhere a friend of mine works for Dodge and he told me that's a recalled alternator. Maybe he said there was a mix-up on the shelf and somebody grabbed the wrong alternator but they won't do anything about it he says mistakes like that happen but they won't do anything about they want me to bring the car in and charge me $300 to look at it.
My vehicle has 3 different recalls. These safety hazards are dangerous for my children and I. When I park my car still rolls. I live in texas so the chances of my airbags exploding due to heat and humidity are very high. There is also a recall on the car jack which is dangerous as well. Your attention to these matters are greatly. Appreciated.
The electrical system in the car shut down while driving through an intersection , 180 amp alternates failed, all systems failed while driving.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. While driving 60 mph, the "driver assistance no longer available" message appeared. In addition, the brakes seized without warning and the vehicle stalled. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 14634000 (electrical system) as the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000.
The radio turned off, every light on the instrument cluster lit up, wipers turned on automatically, lost both power break and power steering. All this at over 50 mph with our young son in the back seat. . . . Eventually my wife was able to get the vehicle stopped, but even after many attempts was unable to put the car in park. Eventually the car just completely died. She was stuck in the middle of a turning lane and wasn't even able to turn on the emergency flashers. The car ended up being towed to the nearest Chrysler dealership and diagnosed with a faulty alternator to the tune of almost $900. Financial burden aside, this was a very frightening experience for my wife and son, and although the car has been repaired neither my wife nor I feel entirely comfortable driving the car by ourselves much less having our young son in the back seat.

While parked and while driving, the abs, esc, and brake malfunction indicator lamps illuminate with a double warning chime. After 1 to 2 minutes, the indicators turn off. While the indicators are illuminated, the respective systems are not enabled. This was tested in winter weather by braking on slippery roads with no anti-lock intervention, and accelerating around a corner with no traction control or stability control intervention. The issue only happens when the car has been in operation for more than 30 min, and is aggravated by wet conditions, or a car wash with undercarriage spray. I have taken the car to the dealership with the same results. "could not reproduce the problem".
I was heading to work early am. Heading down the freeway, notice the battery save mode on the dash. By that time the radio shut off and didnt have a/c, started to blow hot air. I started to smell burning rubber. Almost didnt make it off the high before the car shut off. It was hard to steer, and lost brakes. Almost hitting a couple of cars. So I look up what battery save mode was, then check the fourms. It is common in the 2011-2012 Chargers. I had to get the car towed to dealership.
I had this same problem fixed in August 2014 at dutch miller in south charleston,wv, and today the warning lights came on again ,abs and esc warning lights in the dash.

Started my car Friday morning August 1, 2014 and those 2 lights came on and haven't went out, called a Dodge dealer and was told it was not a recall problem but I read on here that it is.
Leaving work I noticed my radio suddenly turned off, display showed power saver mode. I contacted my husband by cell phone and he advised me to stop driving it because there had been reports of fires, crashes and loss of control. I was turning on to my street and I lost control of steering, brakes, and all power in the car. I was coasting to park and noticed that there was smoke coming out from under the hood. My husband came down to look at the vehicle and could not turn vehicle on at all. Now, I drive our car to and from work, a 15 minute trip 6 days a week. We regularly keep our vehicle serviced. This car is coming on a 2 year anniversay and I have paid for a new battery, parts/labor and diagnostic test. Dealership says that my car is safe to drive but the alternator is making a noise and that it can last from 6 months to a year or die a week from now. How dramatic is that? Chrysler gave me a case # and adivsed me that they needed to know what was wrong with it before they offered cost assistance. There is no amount of money that either company can give me to replace the loss of a life in my family. Please keep us safe and fix these defective vehicles off of the road to prevent even more unnecessary collisions.
