Back up camera malfunction. This problem was recalled for 2015 models however my car is 2013. This still is a safety issue. Can not see over trunk without camera.

Intermittent disabling of the steering system resulting in multiple lights (abs, etc. ) and steering locking up with the car in gear with no prior indication of an issue and no warning light or message prior to failure then today this happened along with delayed start and the power steering system fail message presented so g with the car steering locking up and the car becoming immovable while in gear. This followed by the car not starting at all and remaining immovable requiring a rollback tow.

Strong smell of gas in the inside of the cabin due to a fuel pump cracking at the top. I cannot fill up the car all the way due to the smell and gas staying in top of the fuel pump.

Message on dash indicating that the vehicle is not in park, when the vehicle is in park, per placing the shifter into park position and it will not shut off with the push button, until the message goes away, which can take putting it back into gear, or pushing the automatic start button on the key faub or waiting for for the message on the dash to go away. Looked at a forum that indicated that someone with the same problem had there vehicle go into reverse without the person placing it into reverse. Many forums with people having the same problem.

Slight �miss� at idle all the time intermittent weak starting odd �sometimes� problems: 1-cruise control won't come on at all 2-if cruise is on, will not decelerate car on a decline (always above speeds of 55mph intermittent at speeds 55 and below) 3-u connect problems-no bluetooth, passenger door unlock inoperative from outside passenger or driver door at handles(must push button on door panel or on fob)no power at usb or has power but not sensing accessory at usb, no audio from audio port (2013 Charger not on compatible vehicles list for any u connect so why did it get installed?) 4-menu up down ^ buttons on steering wheel don't work 5-burning electrical/rubber smell inside car 5. 5-air handler switching problems defrost/floor/dash (seems like defrost always on) 5. 75-headlights dim/brighten while in use 5. 8-power train probs intermittent(feels like it's towing something behind it as far as power to vehicle from engine) 5. 85-overall shifting probs delayed or lacking in power or hard shifting both from park into gear and automatic shifting through gears most noticeable from park into any gear 5. 9-while in park at idle traction control light comes on 5. 95-engine hesitates causing the vehicle to �jerk� as if brakes were applied, without warning, not at any specific time (long drive, short drive, reverse, overdrive, hot, cold, whenever) none of the above have ever caused it to throw a code, so have been undetectable by dealership. Except the u connect items which they said should be fixed by updates and weren�t. (6&7-before thermostat replaced(just now)) 6-heater fan sounds like it's working but isn't and will suddenly come on full speed 7-heat will blow at good temp. Then suddenly be too hot and burn my hands on steering wheel all �documentation� is in video. Cant upload. Happened since purchased new. All recalls addressed. Mileage now 76850. Thanks.

My Dodge Charger 2013, is having problems shifting gears. I put in another transmission and it still experiencing the same problems. Gearshift also sticks, while I'm in motion. . . .

The car has no get up and go! there are millions complaints about this! driving the car will go in d1 by itself! car runs rough at times and good at times . . . I took the car to Dodge several times abs they keep saying nothing is wrong.

Transmission shifter sticks, difficult to move automatic gear from park, drive, reverse neutral. . Etc squeaking noise in steering column.

When getting ready to exit the vehicle and turn off the engine the display reads vehicle not in park and won't allow me to turn the engine off. It takes approximately 45 seconds to a minute.

Takata recall and recall t36 alternator.

My Dodge Charger rt 2013 vehicle randomly reports that your need to push down the clutch in order to start the vehicle. It also will randomly cut off on you while driving the vehicle which is extremely dangerous. I have taken the vehicle to different dealerships and for the all tell me that I can do anything since we cant replicate the issue. I don't understand the why the vehicle will report anything about an clutch since it is an automatic.

When driving my 2013 Dodge Charger se all of the lights flashed on the dash and the auto trans would not shift out of 1st gear . I ran my obd2 and it gave a trouble code of u0002 high speed can bus. It then stalled on the hwy and I about crashed the vehicle due to now power steering or brakes. It is now in the shop at 125. 00 per hour and the Dodge dealership has no idea what is wrong either. It will not start at all. No cranking no nothing.

The tpms system has failed. 3 of 4 tires show a pressure but is not accurate, seems to be frozen on a prior pressure reading. 4th tire position shows "- -". Recently had a nail in tire that caused deflation. Driver did not notice severely under inflated tire causing poor handling and increased risk of accident. Passerby notified driver of low tire pressure condition. Subject vehicle also has failed bluetooth module which may be related? vehicle has also been to Dodge dealership for charging system, battery and alternator issue, even though subject vehicle is not included in current recall campaign for same issues. Is there a correlation between overcharging condition and failing modules?.

On August 18, 2017, I started my 2013 Dodge Charger and discovered that the uconnet system was no longer working. My hands free system could no longer be connected. After contacting uconnect, it was determined that the bluetooth module had stopped working. This is a problem when you are constantly in your vehicle for work purposes and depend on the hands free driving.

The was a recall issue fixed on my vehicle sometime last year where if I'm not mistaken, they went into my dash and/or removed the dash. Also the airbag light would go on and off. Since then, I've started to experience clicking/knocking where the airbag would be located and the air bags light is on and off very frequently as well. If I hit a bump on the side where the clicking occurs, the air bag light will come on. Not sure if the problem is related to the recall that was supposedly fixed in the past, however there was no clicking/knocking in the dashboard prior to the fix, only airbag light. I just don't want it to be an airbag issue or it deploys while I'm driving. Not able to put in an exact date because it happens everyday, so only entered today's date.

While driving the battery saver mode warning illuminated. Within seconds the car made a loud boom sound and I could not put it into park. I had to apply the emergency brake and keep trying to get the car into gear. As I was doing that the car was flashing to blank screen and then suddenly the car turned off. I had the car towed to the dealership to see what is wrong.

Was driving and my battery save mode came on. Then the car's dash lights went out then the navigation system went out and the car completely stalled. In the road. Lifted the hood and there was a burning smell. Let it sit for a while it started. Got it to autozone and they said it was the alternator. The dealership said its not covered under warranty cost would be about $772. Called Dodge and they said my year wasn't under recall for this problem but other years were.

Alternator suddenly failed when driving on the street. Car suddenly stopped running and started smoking while driving. Almost got in an accident while trying pull off the road. Battery replacing light came on, 30 seconds later car was making sounds, while trying to merge over, car suddenly died. Lifted hood, smoke came out. Towed car to dealership, they stated it was a failed alternator. 2013 sxt Dodge Charger 50,200 miles.

I purchased this vehicle on 6/24/2016 (Friday) Monday l called and talk with kayla regarding the breaks she told me to come on Thursday 6/30/2016 to have the breaks repaired ok there mechanic never showed up, next appointment that Saturday it was changel to July 12,2016 l went and apparently there mechanic has another job but he works here certain days so cristina says well he's off from his other job he'll be here all day so I went early wait 2 hours never showed up, so she takes the car next door to japanes auto repair 8196 garden grove blvd, garden grove CA, 92844 where they told me it would take 3 hours there was know one fixing this car for 3 hours only one gentleman spoke english but after 3 hours l was told that the breaks and rotors was replaced l ask for a copy of the invoice l was told it had to be given to cristina, so l take my time and head home it seems ok my son picks me up from the hospital on 07/21/2016 around 2pm we were on the santa monica freeway heading east car seems to start shaking so we exit and get onto labrea Ave where we had to turn into on coming traffic to get into the gas station so we wouldn't be in the middle of the street, l had just had surgery, now I'm pist we had to sit to allow the motor to cool after about 45 min to an hour we had to drive with our hazzard lights on really slow to make it home once again l reached out to kca auto enterprise and nothing I'm afraid to drive this car, I'm afraid to have my family in this car passenger seatbelts doesn't stay connected, the motor shakes, the breaks constantly makes noise, and a burning smell l don't want this car I'm literally afraid to drive it fearing is it going to break down and cause an accident, there are 5 recalls that I just found out myself and the dealer never enclosed this to me l have no paperwork with any of this. I do not want this car it is not safe.

Lets see purchased used Dodge Charger rt awd 5. 7 hemi 8 months ago only to find out on June 16/ 2016 that a recall for the engine timing chain and chain guide is defective and needs to be replaced this recall was issued in febuarary 2014 !!!! 28 months after I get notified. !!!!( fca ) should be made to reimburse consumers !! due to their engineers total incompetence when designing these engines with sub standard parts I purchased vehicle used from Chrysler Jeep dealership who didnt even fix recalls that were issued before I purchased said vehicle 3 recalls in 8 months alone since ive purchased !!! I have no confidence this car will be driveable before its even paid off never again to Dodge Jeep Chrysler products. They are garbage.

I put the car in reverse when trying to make a legal u-turn, when trying to put the car into reverse, I step on the gas only to realize the shifter popped back into neutral or park. When making a u-turn there is no oncoming traffic. By the time I'm able to complete the u-turn and place the gear into reverse there is oncoming traffic. I've been behind some big trucks that decide they want to back up. With a normal shifter you can quickly place the car into reverse. With this shifter I feel I'm going to get hit. This popping out of reverse has happened multiple times. This is a very dangerous shifter. I like the car although I've had to take it to the dealership for many repairs and it's only 3 years old. This car I feel may get me in an accident or kill me by not being able to shift quickly enough. I didn't know what to do until I got your website. Please check into this. Someone is going to get hurt when you can't put the car into reverse because it pops out. Thank you.

To whom it may concern, I'm writing this complaint about my agency failing to set an appointment and following back in order to get a recall appointment set. I'm in desperate need of assistance and guidance as to what steps I should take next for the recall on my car to get fixed. I called may 4th 2015 to south point agency 5210 ih-35 south austin texas 78745 512-443-9333 and got in contact with the so they say person in charge of recall appointments. Her name is dawn graham dawn@southpointdodge. Com, she was not very polite and communicated with me that there was a very long line and she would call me when the part was in. No name, recall number, car VIN , no information was taken down. I called one week later due to not receiving a follow back like promised about my status and she yet again mentioned she would call me back. It's been a month now. She has not followed back, no appointment has been set, I'm concerned for my safety and my vehicle has been acting differently. Please guide me to what step I should take next. I will send this complaint and call the manager of the agency at this time as well. Thank you.

The trunk of the car opens intermittently. Does not open will driving.

There is a recall I just recieved in the mail today on my car p60 (alternator) and I was driving down the road yesterday Dec 6, when everything shut down on me. . . While driving 45 mph in congested traffic almost causing a deadly accident. They said there is no remedy yet but they will put a new defective alternator on my car leaving me in the same situation if this happens again until the problem is resolved. I feel the car should be replaced at their expense as it is no longer safe in my opinion for me to drive with children because we were almost killed yesterday when this happened there was no warning it just went down. Dodge willnot give mearental car since I am 900 miles over warranty but this is a recall so im stuck with no car and even when I get it back it is still defective. Please help!.

On August 2nd, 2015 at approximatly 2:30pm while backing out of my driveway onto a busy street when I placed my car in reverse I observed my backup camera not to be functioning and showing a black screen. I attempted multiple times taking the car out of gear and than placing it back in reverse again with no effect. I then shut the vehicle off and turned it back on then placing the car in reverse. A black screen still showed but the text stating "check surrounding areas" popped up on the top of the screen (still no image showing). I notified the dealer immediately and took it in for them to take a quick look before closing. Technician informed me he could not find any codes, and that all wiring and connections appeared to be fine but told me to make an appointment. I made an appointment for the following Monday. When I went to leave the dealer that Saturday I placed my car in reverse and the camera was functioning fine (haven't had an issue since). I I dropped my car off Sunday night and the dealer had it Monday & Tuesday and could not replicate the issue. The item was not replaced under warranty and Dodge is basically informing me that a intermittent issue is fine.

Anti-lock brake system and stability control system control module has failed and replacement parts have been unavailable. (for over a year me dealer has said. ).

Having multiple problems with my Charger which only has 7300 miles on it. Like others have mentioned, when at a complete stop, the car will jump forward. Feels like transmission shifting late. Then when driving and getting up to speed, the rpms will jump up but the car does not speed up. The last time the rpms increased, I quickly took my foot off the gas pedal, and the rpms continued to rise to 5k. Both issues happen sporadically. Have taken to dealer 2x. First time they had for 2 days, reprogrammed the transmission and said they fixed it. I took it home over the weekend and both issues still happened. Took car back in on Monday and this time they had it for 4 days and gave me a rental car. Today I was told that Chrysler is aware of the problem (valve body separate plate part) and is working on a fix. The part/fix was supposed to be available at end of may/early June, but since it's already 6/5, obviously that date was not an accurate time frame. (star case no. S1421000013 date 4/9/14) the dealership states they cannot do anything to fix this until the part is available. They could not let me keep the rental car (warranty coverage time max out), and gave me back my Charger to drive until they can fix it. I worry about the problems and what else could go wrong, or if the rpms will cause problems with my speed, cause a wreck, or just cause further damage to the trans/engine. Not a happy new car owner.

On may 5th, 2014 when I entered my vehicle and started it both exterior side mirrors blind spot detection mirrors were illuminated and a message in the center instrument display screen stated; "blind spot detection system unavailable". Dealership was unable to take a look at it at this time but an appointment was made for may 8th. The night of may 5th the blind spot detection system began functioning again but was not working for approximately 6 hours even with shutting off and restarting the vehicle multiple times and checking to make sure sensors were clean. Dodge dealership was unable to replicate the issue and no further action was taken. This is a safety issue to not have these systems available especially if many other people have come accustom to depending on these (even if they shouldn't be).

On approximately 4/16/2014 while driving my girlfriend attempted to use the seat heater on the front passenger side. When pressing the button on the 8. 4 inch screen we were able to hear a click and then the function which as illuminated on the screen turned off. She tried multiple times but the heated seat would not stay on. I had the dealership look up this issue and the following was found: "cs - b1eb2 - 1b r/f seat heater sensor-circuit resistance above threshold, inspected heated seat module connector and heated seat pad connector looks ok, checked for short to voltage circuit p688 ok, checked continuity from module to cushion pad connector circuit p688 no continuity, checked short to ground, circuit is shorted to ground, removed seat inspected wiring, found wiring got rub thru on seat frame. Inspected heat seat cushion pad sensor, found heated seat pad sensor internal failure ordered seat cushion, repair circuit p688, cleared dtcs and check if heated seat is working, seat is still not working, r/f seat is reading that its -40 degrees. Removed seat and replaced passenger front cushion heated element and verify repair". So I was driving around with a heated set where the ground wire rubbed through on the seat frame. Luckily their was fire in the vehicle due to my girlfriend repeatedly pushing the button in an attempted to get the seat to work.

My car still moves after placing Dodge Charger se VIN: 2c3cdxbg3dh518954 into park along with emergency parking brake then turning off motor. The car still moves on it's own, sometimes even after sitting over night. I start to open one of my doors and the car starts moving on it's own. All of this is done while being parked on "even surfaces", such as my driveway at home (stationary with motor off. Please help me someone. My 2013 Dodge Charger has power adjustable pedals. After owning the car for about 6 months, the pedals began to randomly move on their own. As I always kept the pedals in the fully retracted position, this meant that the pedals would move towards me and if my foot was on the accelerator pedal, the car would accelerate as the pedals moved towards me. The occurences were random, sometimes happening multiple times within a few minutes and sometimes at low speeds and sometimes at highway speeds. Sometimes it wouldn't happpen for several days, then start doing it again. I took the car into a Chrysler dealer in early January, 2014 and they said they couldn't look at it for several days. I didn't take it back and put it on my to-do list as there were a few other things on the car that I needed fixed and was doing a lot of traveling. Regardless, the condition stopped in late March and didn't occur for over 3 weeks. As it was exteremly cold in michigan, I thought that the weather might have been a contributor to the problem. But then, it started happening again in mid-April when it was warm, sometines 6-10 times within several minutes. When trying to move the pedals back to the fully recessed position with the switch on the side of the seat, it wouldn't respond and I had to move the seat back and forth a few times before the the pedal switch worked. There are and haven't been any obstructions even close to the switch and the car was in perfect condition. I suspect a switch problem but don't know yet.
