1)the powertrain runs very loud while standing still with the car on . 2)the brakes are not that good because they still roll once you put your foot on the brakes . 3)also,the back up camera screen goes black or blue ,also flickering a lot which is unsafe and unreliable. There may be an electrical problem with this car .
The contact owns a 2023 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the “service shifter” message was intermittently displayed. While driving 60 mph, the message was displayed and the vehicle shut off immediately. The vehicle was unable to be driven and was shifted into park. After shifting into park and waiting for several minutes, the contact was able to continue driving. A week later, while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start, and the gear shifter started flashing a red and white light. The contact immediately turned off the vehicle and waited before restarting it. The gear shifter was no longer flashing. Approximately 2 weeks later, while starting the vehicle, the vehicle experienced battery failure. The battery was replaced, and the vehicle started, and the vehicle was driven. After leaving the vehicle parked for a while, and then restarting the vehicle, the gear shifter started flashing, and the “service shifter” message displayed again. The contact drove around at approximately 10 mph, and the message started flashing more frequently. The contact decided to park the vehicle. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that there was a known issue with the gear shifter. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,075.
While driving, all of a sudden the abs light, power steering light, electrical control message came up, traction control light all came on. For about 15/20 seconds, I had no power steering, and could not brake. Very scary. This happened 3 different times. During one of these times, everything on my dash went black. Then the heat turned on and we couldn’t roll down the windows. Very scary and dangerous. Especially the not being able to brake for any amount of seconds.
Ting to formally report an ongoing and unresolved safety issue with my vehicle that poses a serious risk both to myself and others on the road. The core issue appears to involve high-voltage faults and can bus voltage exceeding threshold limits—likely tied to the vehicle’s telematics system. Despite this, the vehicle is currently not communicating properly, and the diagnostics data are inconsistent or inaccessible. Here are the key concerns: •the vehicle has shut down multiple times while in motion, creating a dangerous situation. •it is only achieving ~10 mpg, a drastic drop from expected efficiency. •I was explicitly told not to drive it until the problem is resolved due to safety concerns. •the dealership has refused to repair the issue and has provided false information regarding diagnostic codes, which I’ve recorded for documentation. •this problem has persisted for nearly a year without resolution. At this point, I’m left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate and a dealer network unwilling to take accountability. I’m requesting a formal investigation into this matter, as it may reflect a broader systemic or manufacturer-level issue affecting others as well. I can provide supporting documentation, service records, and recordings of diagnostic readouts as needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The contact owns a 2023 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled with no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.
The contact owns a 2023 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving 20-30 mph and depressing the brake pedal, the engine revved to 1,500 rpms several times. Additionally, the contact stated that the hill assist caused the rear wheels to lock up, and the vehicle lurched forward, nearly striking the rear of a stopped vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure recurred while at a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown software update was performed; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who performed a relearning on the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35.
Forward collision warning: activates randomly. I had to decrease the warning sensitivity to near to reduce the rate at which I was receiving false alarms. Powertrain: noticeable delay after shifting down when using paddle shifters in manual mode. Electrical: the in dash audio radio station seeks down without user input.
The vehicle has had continuous electrical failure. The infotainment system download dot jar files daily and display the message of fatal error. They are unresolved issues with the telematics and the can bus to the point . 2 engineers came down and took a look at my vehicle and still had no resolution. High voltage to head lamps. Voltage above threshold.
