2 Parking Brake problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 08/06/2010

I have a Dodge Charger rt 06. I took it to the dealership a year ago to replace a part on the front end. There was a noise coming from the front end. Now recently, I almost got into an accident because brakes almost didn't stop me in time and I wasn't speeding. Before all of this, when I speed up, the front end and steering wheel shakes or wobbles and this has me worried. If by chance I encounter bad weather, because I do live in michigan, I hope something on the Charger doesn't fail when I need it the most. To of my friends have also experience problems with 300 c's and Chargers.

3 Parking Brake problem of the 2007 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 07/14/2010

I drove car the night before and everything worked properly. The next day I started the car and tried to go into reverse. The gear wouldn't move. It was stuck in park. I tried the pink button by the gear box and that wouldn't even get the gear out of place. I had to get the car towed to a Chrysler/Dodge service. I was informed I needed a shifter assembly which was not covered in my extended warranty and my manufacturer warranty had expired. It cost $350 to fix. I talk with other Dodge Charger owners who have said this has happened to them and had to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. This is obviously a manufacturing problem if different people from different states and dealerships have complained about this problem. This should be replaced by the service regardless if have a warranty if this is a defect created originally by the manufacturer.

My car is stuck in park! I have no idea what happened. I drove it today with no problems then all of a sudden I try to leave and it wont allow me to put it in reverse. I have seen a numerous amount of complaints online with people having the same problem so this is something that is common with these cars. "my car hasn't been repaired yet!" I don't think I should have to pay for something that I didn't cause.

Parked car in driveway, set hand brake and it failed. Was told by dealership and Dodge customer service that it is a "periodic adjustment" that must be made to the hand brake.
