Tl the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. While the contact was attempting to drive in reverse, the vehicle shifted into neutral independently. Also, the check engine and gear shifter warning indicators illuminated. Furthermore, the back up camera would not function. The vehicle was taken to federico Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (1875 e edwardsville rd, wood river, IL 62095, 618-254-1000) where it was diagnosed that the shifter cable detached from the transmission. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 19v293000 (power train). The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 44,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Pulling back in to drive way, car wouldn't go into park and just cut off. Took it to randy marion Dodge of salisbury of nc, and they're saying its the recall but there is not parts available to fix it because Dodge hasn't released the parts. This my only car I have to have to means of transportation to get back in forth to work. Meanwhile Dodge said they could fix it, but its going to cost me $920. Dodge should be to ones paying for this. They also want release a loaner car or a rental provision. How is this right??????????.
