Front Seat Power Adjust problems of the 1999 Dodge Durango

1999 Dodge Durango slt / 4wd / 8 cyl 5. 9l - vehicle mileage 53,712 as of 08/31/10; the following oem components / parts are defective / broken / worn prematurely causing other parts / components / systems to fail, brake & should be recalled, serviced, replaced by daimler Chrysler, llc at their expense (no wonder they needed bailout $): 3) drivers power seat track has excessive motion when accelerating & stopping causing seat to slide forward / backward - possibly causing accident;.

Driver's seat track has forward to rearward movement. Better called "play" in track assembly. Track assembly is defective. Seat is a power electric seat.

Drivers seat ( power adjustable type) broke the plastic clip for the raise lower motor causing the seat to be throne backward and in turn causing an unsafe driving condition. I myself am an ase certified master mechanic and cannot believe a piece of linkage made out of plastic was put in such a place to experience those types of load forces. The seat has had a little slack in it since I have owned it, and it has stayed about the same up until it just gave way.

Front drivers power seat rocks and pops during use, reported to dealer and told this is normal, similiar complaints from many other owners of this vehicle.

Excessive play in seat adjuster mechanism which could lead to seat failure. Has been replaced once under warranty but defect remains.

Driver's power seat is unstable, it moves backwards and forwards while driving. Dealer states that this is a normal condition. Please give any further details.
