3 Steering Tie Rod Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2010

2007 Dodge Durango limited, we took the car to get an alignment done in sept. 2010 at Dodge of blaine in mn. They said the left tie rod was loose during the pre inspection. We had it fixed. Less then 2 months later the left tie rod completely broke and detached from the tire. I was driving at the time with kids in the car. I've been told by the Dodge dealership that this is a problem that they see a lot of and Dodge needs to do something about but has not yet. Is Dodge waiting for a death lawsuit before they do a recall on this. This could be a very deadly problem.
