Two problems related to windshield wiper/washer switch have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Durango. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2007 Dodge Durango based on all problems reported for the 2007 Durango.
The wiper/turn signal multifunction switch failed not allowing wipers to turn on during a rain storm at highway speeds. The turn signal now also doesnt work properly. This is a known problem according to my google searches on this.
My windshield wipers will intermittently not turn on, or go the speed which I have selected. My Durango is only a 2007 and I have been told by mechanics at 3 different garages there is no way my vehicle is old enough to warrant this type of replacement. If I turn the left turn signal on and complete a turn that switches the turn signal off that is the only way to get the wipers to stay on. They also work for the windshield wiper cleaning but turn back off once that process is complete. We had to drive 300 miles in a bad rainstorm as we were traveling when this first occurred. Now they work for the most part, but occassionally they won't work so this is definately some kind of issue that Dodge needs to fix. There are posts all over the internet about this same problem. There is obviously an issue with either the switch or the wiring system.
