My car started smoking from under the hood and coming through the vents . It over heated . So then I opened up the hood and smoke with you coming out a bit crazy then something food from the engine like to hit me in the face but I do. It broke my dipstick oil stick the piece off. Now my car is running hot smoking and making a loud crazy noise sounds like it's going to blow up or something I don't know what to do help me please. My husband just recently passed so I'm on my own and I'm all by myself just me and my daughter so I don't know a lot about cars please help me.
While driving all electrical and engine, steering shut down with no notice. . . . No lights or steering while in the dark will get me killed.
Takata recall, every thing electrical does not function on my vehicle. I have to disconnect the window it rolls down on it's own. My drivers side brake light does not work or license number tail light does not work when in drive. This has been an on going problem with me being stopped by state troopers while driving on the highway or city/ county police on a local road. Not using a signal while making a left turn is a violation. Not having break lights functioning when at a stop is also a violation. The problem is in the faulty wires and is a safety issue. This has been a recall but, not for the 2008 Dodge Durango slt v8 4. 7lt. Takata recall. The rear windshield wiper engine is bad and should had a recall duye to the faulty wiper engine. Safety hazard.
On several occasions I have had the ignition key stick in the starting position while I was attempting to start the car. This happened as I let go of the key after turning it to the start position. The key can be manually turned back to the off or run position. This has sometimes resulted in a successful engine start and at other times I have caught it before the engine started. I believe Chrysler has issued recalls for this on other models or years, but not for this car.
