First issue is back racetrack lenses is full of water causing bulbs to blow out. Secondly, and most scarey was driving at 50 mph and car starts making loud noises on dash(that alone scarey enough to create a crash)but the looses power and barely can steer vehicle to side of rt. 27,then started back up. I am a single mom of 2 boys,(one which I rely on this vehicle to transport to many doctor appointments. )last thing I need is a horrible accident. Please listen to all these complaints as if it were your family and try to address the safety of your consumers.
Vehicle accelerated without driver input, including going up a hill without driver pressing accelerator. Engine redlined while stopped at a traffic light without driver input. Vehicle put into neutral, but engine revving would not decrease, and then driver put vehicle into park which continued to rev at high rpms, but vehicle would then not shift out of park. Vehicle was turned off and then back on after 45 to 60 seconds, but vehicle continued to rev engine at high rpms and showed that vehicle was in 8th gear. Approximately 30 minutes later, vehicle would not turn on. Tried to turn vehicle on and it would turn itself off without trying to start.
I've notice that when I'm driving on highways or around the city, wipers come on by itself. That happen twice. . . Sometimes the sunroof don't open, when the sunroof opens don't want to close sometimes. When I'm on the highway can't seem to get enough power to catch up with traffic, seems like the transmission is about to give out. Very laggy. . . . The notification for engine/trans comes off/on at times. Other to sound weird but I believe someone has access remotely to vehicle. All this happens on a daily or every few days I've noticed.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while trying to over take a vehicle at 90 mph, the accelerator pedal that was depressed became stuck. The brakes were depressed and a click sound was heard before the accelerator pedal returned to its original position. The failure occurred once. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed but the failure cause was not determined. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6111. Jo.
While driving I noticed car wouldn't shift gear. It was stuck on d6 when came to a full stop at stop sign. Then car wouldn't move forward after pressing gas pedal. Getting out of car to ask for assistance to push car on side of road, the car started rolling forward. Ran back to car n drove back home. Parked car in garage and turned off car then back on. Now the car wouldn't go to any gears. It's stuck on park. It wouldn't reverse or drive. Called chrystler warranty online and they had it towed to the nearest dealer for repair.
While driving the car was stuck on d6. It wouldn't shift gears up or down. Pulled over and was at complete stop but car was still on d6. Had turned car off and on then the engine light came on.
I often attempt to accelerate at slower speeds generally between 20-30mph to pass another vehicle etc. . . The response after pushing the gas is very delayed sometimes as if the vehicle hesitates.
