Three problems related to engine exhaust system have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a very foul smell inside vehicle whenever consumer started up vehicle. Also, air conditioner does not work. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything.
When getting into the vehicle consumer can smell vapors. Also transmission leaks. In addition, when putting gas into the vehicle, consumer should be able to put 15 to 16 gallons into the tank, but can only put 12 to 13 gallons into the tank.
A defect within exhaust valve damaged the head gasket. The part is on backorder. .
