Tank Assembly problems of the 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan

Fuel would leak from gaskets "o" ring from gasoline tank, which was corroded. The leak was from connection between tank and fuel line.

4 Tank Assembly problem

When the fuel tank is empty and the weather is hot, upon filling up the fuel tank, fuel leaks from the gasket on the tank. The fuel tank will leak about 3 gallons of fuel when only 18 gallons of fuel in put in the tank. The fuel tank is a 20 gallon tank. The dealer tightened up the gasket on the fuel tank. A new fuel tank and gasket as also been ordered.

5 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 06/22/1998

Gas tank leaks when the fuel level exceeds 3/4 of the tank.

6 Tank Assembly problem

Defective gas tank is causing fuel to leak which could result in fire.

7 Tank Assembly problem

Owner filled up the tank and drove 4 miles and most of the gas had leaked out. Dealer replaced gas tank.
