Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, when depressing the brake pedal, the oil pressing and unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to independent mechanic and was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact state on November 9, 2019, while driving 55 mph, when she depressed the accelerator pedal but failed to accelerate. The contact stated the vehicle was while losing speed but was able to driver to the right side and park on the side of the road. The contact stated the steering wheel became difficult to turn at that moment. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact stated she called the police due to her disabled husband being in the cold over 2 hours. A police report was filed. The contact stated an ambulance transferred them to the hospital but no one was injured or needing to seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed to her residence. The vehicle was towed to independent mechanic where she was notified there was a oil leak in the engine and needing engine to be replace. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer has been informed of failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Dp.
