Cracking front windshield (temporarily fixed by clear tape), broken window regulator motors on both passenger and driver sides stop lifting the glasses up and down, passenger side plastic window part (vertically snapped on the upper part of passenger door) fell off, engine light sometimes on and off with unknown detected problems.
Middle electronic sliding doors will not open electronically and there is no way to open these doors during an emergency - trapping the middle occupants inside without a way to escape.
There are multiple whirring and clicking noises in the walls of the cargo area, mostly in passenger side. This happens when I lock/unlock the auto, and close the doors. I also hear what sounds like a moan coming from the dash, at least 2-3 times after I've closed and locked it, from the inside. I just purchased it used, with around 98k miles on it.
Interior driver's side door latch cable frayed causing a malfunction to not allow the door to properly close. Had to replace the door latch cable.
Both rear passenger doors will not unlock or open.
The lock on the passenger sliding door has stopped locking the door. When all the other doors are locked the door will still open. The lock also cannot be engaged manually the lock is stuck in the unlocked position. The driver side sliding door has started to make a buzzing sound when the locks are engaged. I think this indicates that the actuator on the driver side door may also be starting to fail.
The doors make an extremely startling noise everytime we exit the car or open the door.

The passenger sliding door is stuck in the locked position out of nowhere. It cannot be unlocked with the buttons on the door, manually, or with the key fob. It was parked in the driveway overnight, the next morning I went to load up my kids, and it wouldn't work.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph, the driver side front headrest deployed without warning. The contact was slammed in the back of the head due to the failure and suffered a minor headache. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000. Jo.
The driver side sliding door is stuck shut! it don't work any more. Huge safety concern!!!!!!! it stopped working after I drove it. I can't even unlock the door or manually open it. .
The sliding power door make laud noise when closing and opens itself , I check the problem online and I noticed it is common problem , I wonder if there was a recall ?.
The rear right passenger sliding door stopped working both electronically and manually causing a partial hazard so as no one can exit/enter that door to the vehicle. It was first observed nearly 4 weeks ago when the vehicle was stationary.
Passenger sliding door lock is stuck and will not unlock with the key fob or unlock manually. Will not open at all. The poses a serious safety risk. This happened after shutting the door. The next time we went to open the door it would not unlock.
27k miles on my car. At 16k, last year, the passenger side slider door was stuck. Would not open, would not lock or unlock. Was under warranty and Dodge fixed. Now a year later, the other door is doing the same, except Dodge wants to charge me $1,468 to fix it!!! are you insane? this is obviously a failed part and should be fixed for the safety of my children!.
my 2015 Grand Caravan both sliding doors were working fine, then yesterday the driver's sliding door just froze--can't open it electronically or manually. The lock is stuck in the locked position and the power door lock switch won't move that door's lock to the 'unlock' position. When you try to move the lock/unlock button/lever on that sliding door, it's stuck in the locked position--even with a bunch of force I can't move the lever to the unlocked position--I feel like I'm going to break the lever if I force it too much. So the door is basically unuseable unopenable right now. I feel it's a failure and safety issue.
Need a recall issued! 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan with sliding door issues. Lock makes loud noise when trying to unlock. Sometimes it will not unlock or lock, causing the door to work incorrectly. This is a safety issue that multiple people have encountered. There is should be a recall on this locking mechanism.
After returning to the parking lot with bags of groceries, we could not open the trunk, neither with Smart key or button on driver side or with key on trunk panel, or manual trunk button. We hate to think about arriving at a motel and we could not open the trunk. I remember an incident that happened in utah where 3 children were trapped in a trunk and perished. I would think Hyundai would design a manual trunk release system, that does not rely on electric power, bush buttons, or Smart keys. This car has an emergency fluorescent slide inside trunk, I think it also did not work. Initially I though it might be a setting, but browsing a Hyundai forum I discovered other users had similar problems with various Hyundai models. Possible defective part; trunk latch actuator or solenoid. Will find out more tomorrow from dealer.
My entire dashboard has been sticky / tacky for years. I do not know why or how it got this way. It accumulates dust and grime, and I have no way to properly clean it since all towels and cleaning cloths, unless extremely wet, get caught on it, and then it accumulates fibers from the cleaning cloths. If I press into the dashboard with my finger, it retains a fingerprint. I can easily cleave a piece off with my nail. Obvious when the dashboard is shiny on a sunny day, the glare is on the windshield that can cause problems. I just bought this car recently.
On 9-22-2018. My 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan drivers rear sliding door closed like normal. Then when I tryed unlocking and opening the door would do anything the lock mechanism on it doesn't do anything tryed manually unlocking it wouldn't unlock. The door just will not open. . . It was stationary in park.
The trim strip that runs across the center of the drivers door came off while driving on the highway.
On 2 separate occasions, while in park with the engine running, the corresponding side doors opened up when the front door was in the process of being closed. The first time this happened was on the passenger side slider, when the front door was being closed. This happened on a busy 8 lane interstate during rush hour, while parked in the breakdown lane awaiting a tow truck for our u-haul truck/trailer breakdown. I watched in horror as 3 of my 5 dogs jumped out and 1 ran into the oncoming traffic. This dog, my male collie, ran to my husband when his name was called, and just in the nick of time, as an 18 wheeler was locking up his brakes to try an avoid killing him. We managed to get the 3 dogs, unharmed, back into the van with the other 2 dogs. Another incident happened about a month later, while in park with engine running, as I was closing the drivers door, the slider door opened up, but this time there was no occupants in the back. I took the van to the local dealership service dept. And was told there were no listed recalls for this. He stated that another customer had come in complaining of the rear hatch door opening up while the van was being driven. He stated that the service technicians have to be able see the problem happening to assess the situation for repair, so he replaced the key fob stating that it could possibly be malfunctioning causing the problems, but if another incident of this sort happens, to come back. He also suggested that the child safety feature of locking the rear doors from the top buttons, be placed on when occupants are in the back.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated while driving the vehicle another passenger had their arm on the back seat window and when the contact rolled the window down the contact stated that the passengers skin was rolled into the window. The contact had to roll the window up to release the persons skin on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The apporximate vehicle failure milage was 1,500. Kh.
My vehicle was struck in the drivers side door by another vehicle. The entire side of the van was affected, from the wheels to the bumpers. I feel the vehicle that struck my van was doing at least 20 mph at the time of impact and the side impact air bags did not deploy. In my research I have found that impacts from 8 to 18 mph should cause these side air bags to deploy. This is very concerning for myself and the safety of others with these types of vehicles. Chrysler had an "independent" investigator inspect the van before any repairs were completed. I was not asked to be present at the time of the inspection or given a copy of the report. I will be attempting to contact the "independent" investigator for a copy of the report but don't feel that I will have much luck. There were four children in the van along with my spouse when the accident happened and thankfully no critical injuries were sustained. I would like to know if the air bags were supposed to work. The vehicle is currently being repaired at the dealership I purchased it at.
